Surviving Corona Virus – How to entertain yourself and stay connected when under quarantine, self-isolating or practicing social distancing

*I am fully aware that a certain level of privilege/resources are required for this. But if you have these resources, here’s how you can keep yourself entertained and connected to your people while under quarantine/self-isolating/practicing social distancing.

I will update this as time goes on. Also, I am a South African citizen so this is primarily aimed at what we have access to.

On the couch with Geek Ink pilot episode!

A couple of friends and I got together to chat about the geek scene in Cape Town. This is our pilot episode, so we still have to work out some of the bugs. Some minor swearing if that’s not your thing.

Geek Out! UCON Anime and Gaming Convention 2014 – Brief rundown and photos

After a hearty breakfast with the Legion Ink crowd Saturday morning, we all headed off to UCON 2014. I attended the first UCON in 2013 and was pretty impressed by what the UCT anime club Genshiken had managed to put together. It was nowhere near the level of any international con (after all it was just a student event) but it was a pretty good start and a good foundation to build upon.
